sneaky me strikes again

oh, how I love to surprise someone with something special

I have been trying to get these three together for a shoot
 for what seems like years

they snuck out of the house on black Friday morning
"to go shopping"

a male high school senior waking up to go shopping with his sisters?

I guess she bought it.

:o)

merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night

"Do not be afraid.
I bring you good news of great joy that will for all the people.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you;
he is Christ the Lord."
Last night we took our annual photo around the Christmas tree

Again, a certain little boy was not compliant.

It would be difficult to believe that this was our best photo

if I didn't post this one:

Sometimes two year olds act their age

:)

merry Christmas to all!

the neighborhood pups

speaking of new genres...

(yes, with the sweater on)

I couldn't resist

I can't wait to surprise his mommy with this one

and here is the neighborhood priss-pot.

she walked down with her sisters for the photo shoot.

a gift for the holidays

one of my ultra talented friends

has released her first annual Christmas ornament.

I have one for myself & bought one as a gift.

at $35 it makes a wonderful gift.

it comes wrapped in a gift bag ready to give.

inside the ornament is encased in a clear acrylic storage box:

an example of one of the many ways to display this work of art:
(you can click to enlarge to see the detail)

click here to buy one today.

be sure to tell her that I sent you by.

a new genre

after two months of planning and rescheduling,
I was finally able to experiment with a new genre of photography

an actor's headshot

it was a different experience because I:

1) worked with someone that sat still

2) intentionally tried to create a mood with a photography

I really enjoyed my new adventure.

here are the results

faces of epilepsy

today I had the pleasure of photographing

some of the most beautiful, polite, and charming

people.  and they each live with epilepsy.

you can learn more about epilepsy and the Epilepsy Foundation of Louisiana

ready to run

When digging through file after file looking for specific photos
I noticed a common theme.

There are two certainties when we go to the park.

1) I always have my camera with me

2) And a certain two year old always

runs
and runs
....and.... he runs...

as far as he can.
And then some.

WE. ARE. SERIOUS.

in the words of a friend:

don't make a mama mad.

much less 350 of them.

and the dads are pretty perturbed too.

we knew a good thing when we had it.

STABILITY

education

love

these children were not GIVEN their places at this school.

they EARNED it.

and we will FIGHT for their right to get their leader back again.

here are photos taken of one side of the school
posters made by families of students to show their support

so, what happens when parents are asked to represent the school off site and after work?

they show up in droves.

my new BFFs

I had such a great time in Vegas!

Not only did I get much needed personal time,

I was able to meet my wonderful Moby family.

Many of us have worked together for nearly five years without ever meeting.

Here is our fabulous team (minus Jamie -- we missed you!):

Erica

Carrie

Kimberly

Jegzabel

Marlean

Marisa

Gillian & Dave

The whole crew in our "learning" wardrobe.
Oh, how I wish we were outdoors in a beautiful location for this shot.

But I guess a conference room will do for now.
I'll plan a little better next year.
