what a great time we have every Easter.

when my Maw Maw Naomi was alive,

she made a coconut cake with a chocolate chicken

on top.  

(I actually remember a rooster.  Perhaps the chickens were sold out?)

My mom continues the tradition.

 There is always fun and games involved including an egg toss.  

I *LOVE* the adult expressions.

The Thursday before Maw Maw passed away

 

we called her to see if she would take Flat Stanley.

 

She didn't answer her cell, so we tried again on Friday.

 

No luck.

 

We never got a chance to speak with Maw Maw.

 

 

So today with the help of two heart-shaped balloons,

 

Stanley went off to be with Maw Maw at last.

we FINALLY have finished

the kitchen remodel.

now we lack minor adjustments 

in the bathroom before being d.o.n.e.

 for now.

then we're repainting the guest area.

Okay.  Not really.

She was actually sick.

But what newly 6 year old doesn't break into a full fashion model shoot

when her mom takes out the camera?

I finally took time to schedule with

 Stephanie Jones Photography

and have my turn on the other side of the lens.

I pretty much only do pics once or twice per year,

 and I always refer business that I can't take on to her.

here we are!
