When I rolled out of bed this morning,

the aroma of this cake met me at my bedroom door.

 

It is Marie-Helene's apple cake out of Around My French Table 

 And, yes, it is as tasty as it looks.

 After a bit of shopping, we went to my favorite place, Audubon Park, with Popeyes biscuits.

How good were they?

Delish!

The kids played for a while before going home.
